In Connecting with Your Partner, Featured, Series, The Marriage Dance Seminar, Time to Make Your Marriage Dance

Part 2 of a 3 Part Series

Last week we introduced the concept of speaking to your spouse’s heart and described how to do it. (If you missed last week’s post, you can read the eight steps here.) We hope you gave speaking to the heart a try.

This week, practice speaking to your spouse’s heart again. We are providing a question that will take you a little deeper this time.

Are you ever afraid? Of what?

Was there a traumatic event or a painful pattern of life that caused that fear?

Tell me about it. Are you still afraid?

Listen intently. Care deeply. If you are not used to speaking to each other in this way, it will take a while to get used to it. Don’t give up.

In our seminars and workshops, we demonstrate how to speak to the heart—live and unscripted. Couples who have attended say it is their favorite session. Please visit our website for more information.
